Four Lincolnshire charities have been given a summer bonus thanks to one of Grimsby’s best known companies and biggest employers, the Ramsden Group.

The four – Lincs Riding for Disabled, Humberston Hydrotherapy Pool, Wish Upon A Star and the St. Andrew’s Childrens’ Hospice – have each received a donation of £1,500, money raised during the company’s annual golf day held at Kenwick Park, near Louth.

Almost 100 people, mostly supplier representatives and customers from the pub and retail trade, took part in the event.

Nick Ramsden, managing director of the Group, said:

The golf day has become a key event in our calendar. It is not only an opportunity to meet some of our customers and associates on an informal basis, but every year the event raises lots of money which we then distribute to local charities.
