Students from Lincoln College put their skills into practice during the Magna Carta celebrations at the weekend, ahead of the college’s open day on 20th June.
More than 65 students, staff and tutors from Lincoln College hosted a series of fun activities outside the Holiday Inn hotel on Brayford Wharf North in Lincoln on Saturday including archery and face painting.
Hairdressing and beauty therapy students created medieval hairstyles and theatrical wounds while tutors from the automotive engineering course demonstrated how to change a tyre.
Staff and students also helped festival goers make their own Lincoln imps using plaster of Paris.
Peter Merry, Director of Business Development at Lincoln College, said:
We were delighted to take part in the Great Magna Carta Weekend and showcase some of the many courses on offer at our colleges in Lincoln, Newark and Gainsborough.
For anyone who didn’t make it to the stand on Saturday, we’ll be running some more ‘have-a-go’ activities at our open day on Saturday 20th June.
It’s a great opportunity to speak to staff and students and find out what it’s like to study at Lincoln College.
