This Friday will see the Boots team at St. Marks go green for Macmillan Cancer Care.
From 10am-4pm, the Boots team will be in the square at St. Marks using exercise machines supplied by Pure Gym to cycle, row and run as many miles as they can. They’ll also be playing games and holding a lucky dip for shopper participation.
Although the team don’t have a set target, they would like to raise as much money as they can.
Joanne Graves, Store Manager of the store said:
Macmillan has been Boots charity partner of choice for a number of years now and we want to raise as much money as possible. In the 6 hours we would like to cover at least 25 miles.
Valerie Johnson, Centre Manager at St. Marks said:
Here at St. Marks we’re always happy to support charity activity and it’s amazing to see the Boots team hosting their own activity to raise funds needed for this wonderful charity. We wish them every success and will be cheering them on throughout the challenge
The fun will continue in store as the team will be dressing up in green wigs to raise awareness of the charity and will also host a lucky dip.
The activity day comes as part of a wider initiative in the region, as Boots ‘Paint Lincoln and Humberside Green’.
