Lincolnshire SME, Louth Physiotherapy, has enhanced its internal systems via new computer software, setting itself on the path to growth, thanks to free support and funding provided by Lincolnshire County Council’s ERDF funded business growth and finance support initiative, BGF Lincolnshire.
Established in January 2014 and part of the Lincoln Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinics family, which also has offices in Lincoln, Market Rasen, Gainsborough and Epworth, Louth Physiotherapy offers a range of treatments and services to ease the pain of soft tissue and musculo-skeletal conditions, as well as sports injuries.
Anthony Glennon, Director of Louth Physiotherapy, commented:
A few months after opening the Louth clinic, we recognised the need for a new computer system that could help make our service better, while also improving the way we handle things on the administrative and financial side of the business. The system we were looking at was quite costly, though – but luckily, it was at that time that we heard about BGF Lincolnshire when browsing the Business Lincolnshire website for financial assistance.
After conducting research, we called the team to set up an initial meeting. They were very friendly and eager to help from the onset, talking us through the grant application process, our eligibility and the benefits our new computer system would bring.
As a result, Louth Physiotherapy was awarded with £2,500 towards the purchase of PPS, or Private Practice Software – a patient and practice administration software package that allows staff to book appointments and produce and monitor invoices electronically through the use of desktops and interlinking tablets for work on the go.
Thanks to BGF Lincolnshire, we’re now much more technologically savvy. The ability to see across various clinics on one screen has made booking patients far easier since there’s no need to call each clinic to check diary. Plus, we’re saving time and money thanks to the system offering better stat generation and invoice tracking with the touch of a button, which will greatly improve credit control and cashflow within the practice.
In the end, the new software has helped save money and will enable the business to grow in a more structured and cost effective way.
Working with BGF Lincolnshire has been easy and very rewarding. The prospect of finding grant funding seemed daunting at first, but the team was extremely helpful and made the entire process progress smoothly. We definitely recommend other SMEs take advantage of the funding and advice on offer through the programme.
Russell Copley, Director with Greenborough Management, one of BGF Lincolnshire’s support providers, said:
Working with Louth Physiotherapy has been a real pleasure, and we couldn’t be happier about helping them secure the funding needed to upgrade their systems. The new software is quite sophisticated and we’re confident that, over time, it will help them achieve new levels of growth.
