From afternoon tea to wedding champagne, the new Cleethorpes Pier will have a lot of offer

Ever since its opening in 1873, Cleethorpes Pier has been a treasured landmark for the people in and around the seaside town.

Ever since its opening in 1873, Cleethorpes Pier has been a treasured landmark for the people in and around the seaside town.

The Pier has been used as a venue for concerts to hosting wrestling matches, coin and stamp fairs and most recently before its closure, a nightclub. The restoration, which has taken less than a year, will boast an impressive collection of places to eat and drink, including The Promenade Pub and The Victorian Tea Room, each situated at the front entrance. Along with aims to have a 360 degree boardwalk around the building on the pier, there will also be a restaurant which the public decided should be named 1873, after the original opening date.

Cleethorpes Pier also offers a range of wedding packages as the beautiful Victorian décor is the perfect place to host your special day.

The Pier has the option of breakfast and buffet packages together with the all-inclusive packages, which offers the choice of a midweek, seasonal and deluxe packages. A large number of guests can be accommodated at the Pier, with up to 250 in the day and 350 on a  night, as well as a smaller room if there are fewer guests, ensuring the perfect venue for the big day.

The reopening of this Pier will bring a new lease of life for the sunny seaside town of Cleethorpes which is certain to attract a large number of tourists and job opportunities for the local people.

Although the exact official opening date has not been released, Cleethorpes Pier will open in August 2015 and is guaranteed to be as popular as it was in 1873.
