LINCOLNSHIRE is gearing up for exciting thrills and rides later this month as the final preparations for the world renowned Federation of Harley-Davidson Clubs Europe Super Rally gets underway.

Taking place at the Lincolnshire Showground from the 21 to 25 May, the ever popular 30 year old Super Rally will consist of four days of excitement and fun attractions to keep all ages entertained.

The West London Harley Riders Events ltd is this year hosting the event and big names to entertain the crowds have already been secured with highlights including a fly-by from the Battle of Britain Lancaster Bomber and numerous big band performances offering various types of music on three different stages.

Mal Nijjar, company secretary for West London Harley Riders Events Ltd, said:

Great efforts were made by the team to secure acts such as Knights of the Dammed Medieval Jousting Act, Ken Fox’s ‘Wall of Death’, Lime House Lizzy and many more to ensure that everybody has a great time at the rally.

It really will have something for all and we are so excited to be hosting the rally in Lincolnshire.

In addition to the exciting entertainment on offer, the Super Rally will also have a ‘Shopping High Street’ boasting more than 50 traders and stands. Caterers and bars will also be on the menu, serving up delicious food for attendees.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to win a Harley Davidson Sportster courtesy of the Harley Davidson dealership while a competition for the best custom bike will be taking place with six categories available to enter bikes into over the event.

Mal added:

We wanted the event to be something special and as a result chose the Lincolnshire Showground as the venue because it offers all the facilities required to host such a fantastic event.

We have people attending the show from countries as far away as America and Japan which indicates just how amazing and brilliant the Super Rally is going to be.

Every year in a different country, the Super Rally is always organised by a different member of the Federation of Harley-Davidson Clubs, Europe and attracts more than 10,000 visitors each year. In previous years the Super Rally has been held in Germany and Poland.

The West London Harley Riders joined the FH-DCE in 1991 and this will be the first year that the group hosts the Super Rally as it returns to the UK for the first time in 26 years.

Jayne Southall, CEO of the Lincolnshire Showground, said:

It is very exciting that the Super Rally is coming to Lincolnshire for the first time and I am delighted that the Lincolnshire Showground has been chosen to host this brilliant event.

There will be plenty of impressive attractions that is not just for Harley-Davidson fans but for everyone – with so much to see and experience the Super Rally is not to be missed.

Advance ticket sales have now sold out but tickets are still available on the gate at £75 and will give access to the event for the four days. Each ticket will provide visitors with £2.50 each day to spend on breakfast at the event.

The Super Rally donates part of the ticket prices to its chosen charities Headway and National Youthbike.
