Humber Hounds is holding a dog walk across the Humber Bridge on the 5th of October to raise funds for the Manchester Dogs Home which was recently devastated by a fire.
Sadly 60 dogs died in the blaze and fundraising has been ongoing to help rebuild the centre.
We will meet at 9.30am outside Waters’ Edge Visitors Centre, Barton upon Humber and those attending the walk will be asked to make a £5 donation, with all funds going towards the Manchester Dogs Home. The walk will start at 10am where we will make our way across the Humber Bridge across to the Humber Bridge Country Park where the monthly farmers market will be on. Please email email@example.com to register for the walk.
Humber Hounds, who is organising the walk, is a free membership group which helps dog walkers enjoy the Humber Estuary whilst helping to protect this special area and its wildlife. When joining, members receive a free goody pack and invitations to special events. All we ask is that members follow the Doggy Do Code. The Humber Estuary is internationally important for wildlife and designated a European Marine Site.
Humber Hounds is overseen by the Humber Nature Partnership, which aims to deliver the sustainable management of the Humber Estuary European Marine Site.
